Yama Izakaya & Sushi is a fun spot for drinks and sushi. The vibe is lively, and the staff are super cool and friendly, which made the experience even better. The sushi was pretty good overall fresh and satisfying for a casual night out. The only letdown was the beef skewers, which tasted more boiled than grilled and didn’t have much flavor. Still, it’s a solid place to hang out with friends, grab drinks, and enjoy some sushi.

Another great evening! Family went out and got some great grub. Food was just as good as last time and the service was beyond incredible! Great service open late. Family had a late night Japanese craving and this place hit the spot. Kevin gave us amazing service! The tuna tower was the best we have tasted! We got a variety of sushi rolls and all were excellent! The shrimp tempura were good and they have certain ramen with chicken broth for those that don't eat pork. The chicken karaage was ok too. Truly enjoyed our late night experience.

Everything was great. I wish I was able to try more. The hamachi and tuna were my favorite. Everything came out really fast. My husband was impressed by the quality. He loved the yellowtail collar and shishito peppers. So glad we got to go here before the winter storm came into town.

Ambiance: There’s tons of seating in the restaurant: sushi bar seating, booths, and large party tables. The restaurant stays open very late, and the service is great. Alaskan Roll: A classic roll that’s perfect for salmon lovers. The price is standard for sushi in the area, and the portion size is generous. The roll was very fresh with great flavor. Eel Roll: This roll was good but definitely on the smaller side. However, it was still fresh, and the sauce was tasty. Chirashi: This dish was just okay. I’d recommend sticking to the rolls instead of the bowl. It came with one piece of each type of fish, almost like a sampler with a lot of rice.

Everything was delicious and reasonably priced! Our favorites were the 5 Rainbow Cucumber Roll and Shishito Peppers. The Octopus Wasabi doesn’t look appetizing or great in photos but tasted amazing. Everything was beautifully plated, the restaurant was lively for a Tuesday night, and our server was exceptionally attentive. We’ll definitely be back!
